Fieldwork:
A Five-Month Mentorship in Practice and Presence
Fieldwork is a container intended to deepen your understanding of what Ashtanga Yoga means to you.
A mentorship in the art of holding space, refining awareness, and living the teachings of yoga. Bridging classical Ashtanga study with trauma informed awareness, nervous-system literacy, safe touch, and self inquiry through the philosophy of Patañjali.
About Fieldwork
Fieldwork is a five-month immersion with Sarah Rae Nelson for practitioners who wish to understand Ashtanga Yoga as more than a sequence of postures. Rather, as a practice of relationship, mutual care, and compassionate leadership in a complex world.
We’ll move through the practice as a living laboratory:
Exploring the energetic and emotional field that emerges through practice.
Learning safe, therapeutic touch and somatic presence.
Understanding rhythm, breath, and the Sanskrit count of Primary Series.
Meeting new practitioners with empathy and accessibility.
Reflecting through the Yoga Sūtras to integrate practice and awareness.
Rather than a teacher-training, Fieldwork is a mentorship in awareness—an invitation to grow as practitioners, leaders, and humans capable of holding space with kindness and clarity.
